Finding Inspiration in a Cave?

After a camping trip to Central Oregon, I explored the Lava River Cave. While exploring this mile-long lava tube, I had two realizations: actual cave and dungeon exploration is a bit more difficult than the game of D&D portrays it, yet it is very inspiring. Also, finding your muse and generating creative ideas can be made much easier if you take inspiration of the people, places and things you experience. Just tweak them a little to make them your own.
